The purpose is to provide an opportunity to grow and develop coaches in Alberta and continue to enhance the strength and knowledge of our provincial coaching community, and our collective ability to prepare athletes for success. Opportunity #1 The first opportunity is for coaches who do not have swimmers attending the Canadian Open. Positions available: Up to a maximum of 6 coaches Dates: Days 2 & 3 – Friday April 10 & Saturday April 11, 2026 Location: Kinsmen, Edmonton, AB Eligibility: Minimum 201 certified Non-attending coach at Canadian Open Priority Considerations: Should there be more than 6 applications, in no particular order, the following considerations will be made: Coaches who did not participate in the 2025 Canadian Open Mentorship Para Coaches Gender Application Deadline: midnight February 27, 2026 Opportunity #2 The second opportunity is for Olympic and Paralympic coaches who have swimmers attending the Canadian Open and would like to shadow/partner with a Senior Coach during the meet. Coaches can request for a specific coach but are not guaranteed.
