TEACHER TRAINING This course serves as the foundation of the I Can Swim (ICS) program, preparing new instructors with the skills needed to deliver high-quality swimming instruction. With 12 hours of theory-based training, participants gain hands-on experience in lesson planning, safe sport practices, and effective teaching methods, while building a strong understanding of core aquatic skills. The Teacher Training Course is delivered in two formats: in-person or online. The in-person course is delivered through a blend of classroom-based activities and in-pool learning. For online delivery, break out rooms are used for activities and the in-pool session is delivered through a series of instructional videos, providing clear demonstrations of techniques to ensure instructors are confident and capable in guiding swimmers of all levels.
