Referee Evaluation Request Form The Evaluation Request Form is for active Referees who meet the minimum requirements of Swimming Canada’s Officials Certification Pathway as well as any additional Swim Alberta requirements. Provincial requirements for each evaluation are documented in the Referee Evaluation Process, as published by Swim Alberta and the Alberta Officials and Competition Committee (AOCC). Swim Alberta will review all requirements and officiating history once a request is submitted, noting it is the Referees responsibility to ensure their deck log is updated and current. Swim Alberta will submit requests that meet all criteria to the AOCC for approval. When a request is approved, Swim Alberta and the AOCC will confirm an evaluator and confirm a sanctioned competition appropriate for the evaluation. While specific evaluation requirements are outlined below, the AOCC may consider competitions of a similar level for evaluation (e.g. Varsity Championships) The AOCC will be assigning mentors to new referees as of July 2024.
