DISCOVER ALBERTA

A single day education and training session with concurrent sessions running North (Edmonton) and South (Calgary). Camps will take place both Fall and Spring.

Age: Females 12 & Under / Males 13 & Under* *age as of first day of the selection competition

EMERGE ALBERTA CAMP

To bring the emerging swimmers in this age category together to experience a significant increase in expectation concerning training and competition preparation.  Additionally, the introduction of specific TEAM ALBERTA protocols and the potential for a dual meet racing opportunity, depending on the time of year, are likely to be included.  The overarching goal is to provide a distinct uplift in experience beyond a normal daily training environment.

ASPIRE ALBERTA CAMP

To provide opportunities for training, race preparation & analysis, and competition (dependent upon the time of year) so as to expose aspiring swimmers to the level of expectation required to compete internationally.  Focus will be on skill race analysis under pressure.  The overarching goal is to provide a distinct uplift in experience beyond a normal daily training or typical racing environment.

Aspire Camp 2023 Athlete Selection

 

PARA CAMP

Camps will have a classification opportunity, a grassroots para swimmer session, coach education and a training session for classified swimmers.

 

 

PAN-PROVINCIAL OPEN WATER CAMP & COMPETITION

An open water training and racing development opportunity.  Swimmers and coaches will participate in a ‘national team’ environment supported by Swimming Canada with education sessions, sport science, equipment, logistics and staff.

PARA PROSPECTS WEST CAMP

Swim Alberta, Swim BC, Swim Saskatchewan, and Swim Manitoba are partnering to provide an educational and training development opportunity to para-swimmers from across the four Western Canadian provinces.  Swimming Canada National Para Head Coach, Vince Mikuska, will be leading the camp, with other guest speakers and sport specialists also in attendance to provide mentorship, information, and guidance for both coaches and swimmers.
