If your club or region is hosting a clinic, the course must be registered with the ASSA - please Submit Clinic Information to the ASSA at least 7 days prior to course delivery.

Prerequisite
Personal commitment and availability for the role, an interest in the fair conduct of sport, ability to work in a fast paced and demanding position, an understanding of the operations of a swim meet, a good knowledge of the rulebook, a good knowledge of the PSOs guidelines.

Prerequisite
Practical experience as a Timekeeper across a range of competitive levels. Desire to lead a group of Timekeepers and provide mentoring and guidance to the Timekeepers during the session. Completion of the Inspector of Turns clinic and some deck experience as an Inspector of Turns would be beneficial

Prerequisite
A general interest in the sport of swimming. An interest in the fair conduct of sport. Completed the Level 1 Clinic and two successful deck evaluations. Volunteered at a number of meets as a Timekeeper. Completion of Chief Timer clinic and successful deck evaluations

Mentorship Requirement
You will be required to mentor in both roles and be comfortable in making decisions before requesting deck evaluations.

Completion of the Inspector of Turns and Judge of Stroke Clinics and deck experience/evaluations; If not completed, take it as soon as possible as Starters can be assigned

If you would like to request the Referee Clinic please make sure that all the above clinics, deck evaluations, and the instructional clinic have been completed and added to your officials account on Swimming Canada. Your request will be reviewed by Swim Alberta and the AOCC.
