2019 Summer Championships

The biggest event for Swimming in Alberta is here! The Summer Championships will be held in Edmonton at the Kinsmen Sports Centre from July 4th-7th 2019. Preliminaries will begin at 8:30am Friday to Sunday. Finals beginning at 4:30pm Thursday to Sunday.

With 518 swimmers, 15 para athletes, 2 foreign athletes – from Texas and Denmark, and 33 clubs this is an event that can’t be missed!

This meet will be sanctioned by Swim Alberta and hosted by Olympian Swim Club and Kinsmen Sports Centre. Youth Recognition Awards are sponsored by Esquire and The ASSA All Star Team are sponsored by Team Aquatic Supplies.

A few key events will be taking place during the Summer Championships:

  • Please join us for the Western Canada Summer Games Team Alberta Announcement around 4pm on Saturday July 6th before Finals.
  • The High Level Bridge will be lit up July 4th Blue & Red (Swim Alberta Colours) to celebrate our athletes.
  • 400m Challenge Awards will take place Friday July 5th around 4pm before Finals.
  • Youth Recognition will take place Sunday July 7th around 4pm before Finals.
  • Announcer training will be Saturday July 6th 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Kinsmen. Any interested individuals please contact tinamarie@swimalberta.ca
