Swim Alberta’s bi-annual Discover Camp took place on Sunday in both Edmonton and Calgary. With having both classroom time and swim time with Albertan Star Athletes the energy at all three camps was electrifying.
The Male Camp in Calgary had special guests Tristan Cote and Coach Mike Blondal. The Female camp saw Rachel Nicol and Coach Mandi Smith. Both groups sat down with Swim Alberta’s Performance Technical Director Dr. Stephen Norris.
Meanwhile in Edmonton the athletes very excited to share a lane with Emma O’Croinin with Coach Paul Birmingham on deck giving the swimmers expert advice. The athletes were also joined by Mental Health Coach Erin Brennan.
Discover Camp is Swim Alberta’s annual single education and training day for both male and female athletes under the age of 13. It provides a fantastic opportunity for any young up and coming swimmer to learn from some of Alberta’s best.
